1、Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone is one of the core areas of the polyurethane industry

The regional distribution of polyurethane in China has gradually formed six plates, among which Shanghai is the central Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone.

2、MDI is a global leader in Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone capacity

The shanghai-based Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone is the most developed area of Pu Industry in China, with Pu raw materials and products accounting for more than half of the country's total. MDI capacity of which accounts for the vast majority of the total capacity, has become the world's largest MDI capacity region.

In 2021, Koth added 50,000 tonnes of MDI capacity, while Wanhua chemical expanded its existing Ningbo MDI plant from 400,000 tonnes a year to 600,000 tonnes a year, the second phase of the MDI plant will be expanded from the current capacity of 800,000 tonnes per year to 1.2 million tonnes per year, with both projects expected to contribute 2024 capacity in 2023-2024.

There are four major production Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, namely, Shanghai polyurethane industrial park, Ruian Huafeng Industrial Park, Huafeng new materials industrial park and Ningbo Daxie Island MDI industrial park.
